I ended my subscription to the @washingtonpost when @JeffBezos announced changes to the editorial approach that basically was "pro-billionaire." But it seems like it has mostly been the same. To other folks that read WaPo - what do you think? Has the bias increased?
Jesus tells us what it means to embrace him in Matthew 25:31-46. As our Senators make decisions about how to spend our national resources I urge them to use his standard in their decision making, especially if they are seeking the eternal life that he speaks of. #EmbraceJesus #theleastofthese
Grateful to the local craft collective in Concord, NH for this reminder of what we are all called to as people of conscience in these times.
I was one of the faith leaders who opened with prayer at the State of the City in Boston. Our city has been targeted by Washington. My prayer was that we would continue to see God in the face of our neighbors.
Check out the full prayer on my Substack - open.substack.com/pub/revmar…
My thoughts on daylight savings - I love it in the fall when I get an extra hour but this spring gut punch is tough. I'm just saying......
Found this article in @wapo quite illuminating. Wondering what will happen to this kind of coverage under the new directive from @JeffBezos
Running a little experiment to see how the X algorithm share this vs. BlueSky.

Ever wake up feeling like you are starting without enough charge in your battery to get through the day?
That’s me today.
The state of the world is exhausting.
My prayer - for grace to make up the difference…….
Just watched a great video of the @TheStringQueens and I thought @shondarhimes should have them play during an episode of @bridgerton. She may have already had the idea but I thought I would put it out there!
As a woman who enjoys running, I have followed the career of Rebecca Cheptegei. Her death is a loss to the world. I pray that her family will get justice and that it leads to change in law enforcement and the larger society. wapo.st/3TjucYp
I read and hear so much about what is not working in education - thankful for this story that shows both the power of hip hop and a place where things are working! nytimes.com/2024/08/23/books…
Glad to see that the airline I fly the most, @Delta , is paying the best, but these salaries don't allow you to live in many of the cities that flight attendants are flying out of - wapo.st/3Mh4T5s
As a passanger I feel like I need to advocate. Any suggestions?
Kudos to @washingtonpost for covering the drama in their newsroom. I became a subscriber under Buzbe. Now I wonder if the paper is moving in the direction that will make me want to renew my subscription in August? I am cautiously skeptical .... washingtonpost.com/style/med…
We have an @Tesla. For the first 3 yrs of lease we had a good experience. Since they moved to @SantanderBankUS it has been a nightmare. Automatic payments haven't work- the payment website has glitches. I can't get a human. My credit score has been affected - it is a nightmare.
Shout out to Susan Cascino, the Zero Waste Director @BostonEnviro who is retiring after 29 years of service to @CityOfBoston. She has been a trailblazer for recycling, composting and all things green.
Replying to @CBSSunday
@CBSSunday did a piece on Ewaste pollution in Ghana. I was glad to hear how @Samsung is working to decrease ewaste and I learned about @Fairphone. @Apple, which makes most of the products I own, didn't even respond. I will use the products I have until they die and then leave.
@Apple does such a good job promoting their image as a innovative company, but they often fail in the things we need most - a clean planet, where people are healthy and safe, and our democracies are stable and dynamic. A company with so much money should be leaning in on this.
If you are considering buying electronics, try to support companies that are more committed to living their values. I am looking forward to my next phone being a @Fairphone!!!! (The irony of writing this on a platform owned by a man who also has problemmatic values.)
Wow. @elonmusk has once again managed to get rid of most of the reason I even get on to Twitter in the first place. This article details why I will be on even less than I currently am. You can no longer see the headline on this (another Muskie innovation.) washingtonpost.com/technolog…
I join Black women around the country who are sending all of our #BlackGirlMagic reserves to @CocoGauff. We are rooting for you sis!
