To put Fauci's "At the advice of counsel, I plead the 5th Amendment" into perspective, Josh Hawley dropped the hammer. What Hawley reminded Fauci and his lawyers of, was this.
A person who has been pardoned, generally speaking, cannot invoke the privilege for the pardoned offense, is a rule handed down by Supreme Court case law, not constitutional text. The leading decision is Brown v. Walker, 161 U.S. 591 (1896). The Court held that once a witness has received a pardon, “he can no longer set up his privilege, since he stands, with respect to such offense, as if it had never been committed.” The reasoning is very simple: the privilege exists to protect against the danger of criminal prosecution and punishment. A valid* pardon removes that danger for the covered federal offenses, so the constitutional protection no longer applies. Valid pardon is the key, here. Either Fauci knows his pardon is illegitimate or he decided he'd rather be charged with contempt than admitting anything under oath, just in case Trump rescinds his auto-pen pardon. Have I got that right?

This is probably the coolest space (technically) and earth photo in existence.
Many have asked how this photo was made. This is my explanation.
The ISS rotates about its pitch axis as it orbits Earth at 17,000mph to keep its nadir view constant. Because of this long exposure photography turns stars into arced lines.
Sidereal clock drives on Earth match the planet's rotation to see stars clearly. I knew one designed for space could do this too.
So a camera mount was custom built at @RITtigers to rotate once every 90 minutes using a 60 to 90 toothed gear system, cancelling out the orbital motion of ISS and allowing the capture of distant stars as fixed points!
In essence, it is a a rotational coil spring powered analog star tracker. It was machined out of aluminum and is entirely mechanical to bypass NASA's strict electrical requirements for cargo. We had to get creative!
After Expedition 72 it was safely returned to Earth and is to be displayed at RIT. Which I am pleased to say because a similar barn door tracker I made from spare parts on Expedition 6 for nighttime city photography was destroyed in an atmospheric trash disposal!
