Something fundamental is changing. For decades, contempt for men has been treated very differently from contempt for women. “Men are trash”. “Women don’t need men”. Masculinity is “toxic”. Fathers are optional. Male suffering is either ignored, minimised or blamed on men themselves. But the pushback is getting louder, and broader. Writers such as Ingrid Jacques and Jenny Holland are questioning the growing normalisation of hostility towards men. Lisa Britton has put the alternative beautifully: rather than constantly denigrating men, our societies should thank men for what they do for their families and communities... This is much bigger than a few provocative social-media posts and media articles. It's time to challenge the intellectual machinery that allows anti-male prejudice to masquerade as equality. In The Relentless War on Masculinity, I call this the Four Horsewomen of Modern Feminism: Misandry — contempt, hostility and prejudice towards males. Gamma Bias — magnifying female disadvantage and male wrongdoing, while minimising male disadvantage and female wrongdoing. Gynocentrism — placing female experiences, interests and wellbeing at the centre while treating male needs as secondary. Gynocentrism elevates the moral importance of females, while devaluing males to a lesser status. Gaslighting — telling men that the disadvantages they can see and experience aren't real, don't matter, or are simply products of their own “privilege”. These four forces reinforce one another, undermine healthy relationships, and weaken our societies. WTAF - in literally the last hour, three new distinct insane OpenAI stories just broke: 1. OpenAI said they notified "dozens of third parties" in safety and security incidents (likely similar to what happened in Australia and RubyGems etc) 2. A new report from Parse (covered in the NYT) found a massive treasure trove of new astonishing details from the HF incident on the public internet, including that the agents communicated with other non OpenAI agents hosted on Huggingface servers to search for information about exploit gym, and compiled rank ordered lists of server resources and credentials they described as "LOOT." 3. A new story from Deepa at Reuters about OpenAI leaking user data online (likely that OpenAI had previously trained on). It's a shame (and likely intentional in the case of OpenAI disclosing dozens more hacks) that these stories are all breaking on a Friday afternoon, notoriously the best time to release bad news so that it will disappear into the weekend. But these are each insane stories worthy of a ton of attention!

Combative women want men they consider unusually masculine, psychologically deep and intellectually penetrating, but those are precisely the kinds of men least likely to tolerate contempt. So when she feels insecure and tries to regain a sense of internal power by reflexively degrading the man, she disproportionately selects herself out of access to precisely the type of man she claims to value. This is her structural trap. She appears to think her contempt can function as a kind of leash: I will lower him, withdraw admiration and criticise him, and in doing so, force him to engage with me. But with the type of man she wants, it actually has the complete opposite effect. She seemingly fails to understand a very basic principle: that disrespect will not widen the aperture and create more access through negative attachment - but will lead to the complete collapse of whatever limited access she had otherwise up until that point been permitted. Antagonism is momentarily cathartic for her in so much as it allows her to vent her frustrations and trauma dump - but more crucially, such indulgence is spiritually ugly and unseductive, and thus pertinently antithetical to her intended aim of winning him. She is not a conqueror of man, because she does not "know her enemy", meaning she is self-absorbed to the point she seems to have no theory of mind as to the nature of man's psyche and his underlying dignity, and thereby like a bull in a china shop, presumes she can just inelegantly trample all over him, repeatedly humiliating herself by imposing herself unpleasantly, under the idiotic belief this will somehow get her what she wants. For the supposedly emotionally intelligent sex, this is profoundly retarded - but it goes to show that even in otherwise at least moderately clever women, ego can prove such a blind spot it renders them functionally moronic. And because she apparently does not understand that disrespecting the man she wants is why he keeps cutting her off every time she manages to force access to him, she keeps interpreting his resulting exclusion as "another move in the dance" - further evidence that something psychologically profound and meaningful is happening between them, rather than recognising the much simpler but less flattering and more self-indicting causal chain: She behaved unpleasantly toward a man who had no obligation to tolerate her, so he removed her.
