I often say that I’ve always been a pastor of my community, not just my congregation. For San Marco, I know some of that will be working to restore relationships in the community. I’m here for it for the long haul, as is SJPC.

So, I saw the gov make a big deal about the hurricane’s name somewhere. Are people still up in arms with the “this aint what I know” dog whistles? Like, the dude looked more unc than anti woke (did i use that right?) Just say the name, bro.

Also: for anyone who is still following… if any politician is claiming God is on their side, run away. Because that’s when God becomes an object for persuasion and not what God actually is. As much as I appreciate a good mustache.

Sad to hear the Skyway is closing. I have fond memories of taking my kids on it. We can be a creative city, provided we don’t become parochial and pander for partisan points.
