Vertical areas are very interesting because they imply a remarkable change in mechanics. The main character can only shoot horizontally, which has curious connotations in strategy that the player must employ. There is also the issue of finding the best way to ascend or descend...
We wanted to develop areas with horizontal & vertical scrolling, but the specifications of the MMC1 mapper and the upper HUD made everything technically difficult. Even so, we managed to develop a low-level programmed vertical scroll that has turned out quite well. We are happy!

Apparently, a Doughnut shop in U.S. is still using a Commodore 64 for business.

Service Packs were collections of updates, fixes & enhancements released for various Windows versions, starting with Windows NT 3.1 Service Pack 1 (1993). Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (2011) is the last Service Pack, with Microsoft now prioritising regular updates via Windows Update.

Delighted to have bought back the rights to the Amstrad brand name after selling my business to Sky 17 years ago. The Amstrad name will be used to launch a new performance marketing agency - Amstrad Digital. Check out amstraddigital.co.uk Wishing Tom D’Arcy and Joe Baron all the very best of luck with their new venture, and looking forward to being your business partner.

I'm sorry, did I say “burned”? I meant “untested”.
If you don't see my posts here, remember that's because they are on 8bit.red/@RetrofunPL. Also, the genius running this site has banned automated cross-posting from there 🤷🏻‍♂️, voting for where to keep the posts. Nobody will ban me on 8bit.red.
Vintage #Mac score! I always knew these were here, but never looked into them. They have a #VintageComputing story to tell. Meet M4787 “molar” PowerMac G3. Only on sale for six months, limited to education & overpowered, the details feel like clues. @MLE_Online @KariLawler – at Brooklyn, NY

I think #midjourney AI pretty blatantly served me some copyright question prone material. The pic literally has "#dreamstime" watermark on it, suggesting that the AI has been trained on a storefront of paid images, without actually acquiring the content. @bezprawnik, opinion?

if I was a photographer, or an artist, and put my pictures on sale in a stock site, I would assume that someone pays before literally using them, for anything. Let alone for copying them.

Would @Dreamstime open their collections for image generation AIs to learn or to the contrary, add to banned bots?
