Another day, another Xbox. This one was upgraded with an XboxHD+, Stellar+, Stellar RGB, 128MB RAM, 2TB HDD, and more. It was not all smooth sailing though, as the console was previously "serviced" by another company.. Check it out 👇 🧵 1/8

Some final touches to finish everything up. The SATA adapter was upgraded to support UDMA6 by moving/replacing a couple 0603 resistors (RH1-10K, R4-100). Then a 3D printed spacer/lock was used in place of the aforementioned hot glue. 🧵 7/8

Last but not least, a few screenshots. This is probably the last time I will use Black as a test game.. It took FOREVER to get to actual gameplay 😆 -Dashboard -Black -Dance Dance -Tony Hawk 🧵 8/8

One of my personal favorites, the Nintendo 64. This "ice blue" console came in for a Retro GEM install, a recap, and some new thermal pads. I also added a light blue 3D printed no-cut kit, and matching region free cartridge tray. Check it out 👇 🧵 1/4

With the recap out of the way, it was time for the N64 Retro GEM. I like to match the wiring to the console color when possible, even if no one will ever see it 😅 🧵 3/4

Thermal pads are saved for last to avoid getting dust or debris on them while work is being done. This one came in with an expansion pack, so that received a new thermal pad as well at no additional cost to the customer. Time to test! (See post 1/4 😄) 🧵 4/4

Another fun (and time consuming) console. Xbox 1.6b 128MB RAM upgrade, XboxHD+ with Open Xenium, 2TB SSD with Origins build, new thermal compound, DVD drive restoration, a few 3D printed parts, and a lot of new caps. Check it out 👇 🧵 1/7

One of last things on the agenda for this console was the XboxHD+. This was a older kit, so it included an Open Xenium. 1.6 flex and LPC rebuild installed, then Open Xenium firmware updated. 🧵 6/7

Last but not least, are the assortment of 3D printed parts used. A mount for the Open Xenium, Startech adapter enclosure, 3.5 to 2.5 conversion tray, and some new TPU feet (the old ones were looking a little past their prime). 🧵 7/7
