Steve Deace is usually extremely negative about Michigan, but he made a GREAT point on his podcast (@MichiganPodcast) with @cpstalions and @isaiahhole This Zack Marshall situation might actually be Michigan’s chance to CTRL + ALT + DELETE the season and start fresh. Everything is out in the open now. The offense is broken. Players are frustrated. Coaches are being questioned. There’s no point pretending otherwise. Marshall deserves consequences for taking team issues outside the building. But Deace’s point was: what did he actually say about the football product that wasn’t true? This is where Kyle Whittingham needs to be the adult in the room. Don’t just punish Marshall and pretend the problem is solved. Stand in front of that locker room and say: “We failed you.” Own the coaching failures FIRST. Because if Whittingham shows accountability himself, he suddenly has a lot more credibility when he demands it from his players. Michigan is 3-2. What happened already happened. You can either let this completely fracture the locker room, or use everything finally being exposed as the reset button. Hold Marshall accountable. Hold the coaches accountable. Then CTRL + ALT + DELETE. New season starts now.
