Last week we had been chosen from over 100 startups to pitch about Fablo for Hotels (fablo.eu) alongside @ACBiode, Orbisk, Map Lab and @octopuslab_IAQ at @VivaTech 2021 in Paris! Congrats to everyone for awesome pitches and such innovative ideas!

So, are the big tech companies really going to do *nothing*? The silence is deafening.
This week we started an experiment of moving Fablo - our incoming Clojure-based transactional platform for local communities - to AWS Lambda due to its scaling possibilities.
The TTI for the platform has to be minimal. We're expecting heavy use of the application only at certain times of the day, therefore using Java runtime was potentially risky. To maximize results, we used GraalVM native-image to ensure the minimal cold start.
To keep consistent app functionality, we added the adapter between the Ring stack and AWSLambda request/resp model. Results: 200MB of memory usage (before ~600MB on Java runtime), 500ms cold start (before 2000ms-3000ms), and a lot of fun for @FieryCodDev, who lead the transition.
