WOW 🚨 Democrats on the Long Beach City Council voted to BLOCK RESIDENTS FROM MAKING PUBLIC COMMENTS
Residents respond by chanting “Shame on you!” and “vote them out!”
The City Council voted to consolidate most public comment time into a designated period to be held only at the beginning of its meetings. This means residents will no longer be able to make comments on what’s discussed in the meeting or give responses to anything that’s proposed or that will be voted on
This effectively takes away all public comment because forcing the comment at the beginning of the meetings means no one can object to anything spoken about
Of course residents are FURIOUS
Previously residents used to be able to speak multiple times throughout the meetings
- Early in meetings residents could speak on general non-agenda matters
- On individual regular agenda items as they came up and also after staff presentations (This is very important)
- They could also speak near the end of the night
Now that’s all been taken away
The City Council did their first vote on this policy and passed it, it now goes to its final vote on October 13th

An 83 year old retired nurse in Los Angeles was getting charged $0 for her water bill over the last 3 years because the meter was broken
She had a water leak so she contacted the LADWP. They realized her meter was broke and sent her a bill for $9,207, saying that’s what she owes for the last 3 years
Obviously this is a massive bill and she says she can’t pay
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power says “We have a responsibility to all the rest of our customers because we're only funded by our customer rates and charges, to collect a reasonable amount of time going back because the water was used but not paid for”
I looked it up and in Los Angeles the average water usage bill for a small home is about $70-$110 per month
If she missed 3 years of bills that would mean the math works out to about $3,960 maximum
They sent her a bill for $9,207….

Additionally, after Nidal Hassan is executed, the Department of War should release a pack of DOW trained belgian malinois dogs into the execution area so they can rip Nadal’s lifeless body apart.
In Islamic culture, it’s understood that if a dog “contaminates” your body when you die, you don’t get to meet Allah and you don’t get your 72 virgins.
