Very excited to have Rohan Marley on the podcast this week. He is not only the son of the music icon, #BobMarley, but is a former professional football player and now an entrepreneur! You can listen to the latest epi here: tinyurl.com/Rohan-Marley #marleycoffee #ottawaredblacks

@ycdsb why did you not do the same for the elementary students? Dismantling perfectly fine remote classes and in school classes for your #hybridmodel was wrong! #stopthehybridmodel NOW! @Sflecce @fordnation @deanasumanac @onted @CityNews @YorkRegion

No matter how many letters are written by #parents the response is the exact same! @YCDSB it’s time to head out of the sand and do something! STOP this #hybridmodel NOW! Bring back the #remotelearning classrooms our kids deserve! @onted @Sflecce @fordnation @deanasumanac

Huge relief. I will actually be able to sleep tonight and will share the good news with my kids in the morning. There's still a chance of losing our teacher/new class but I am hopeful

Also glad that @DPCDSBSchools is going to re-visit this answer. New Q&A out tomorrow - don't miss it!

Ironic that a better math program was a pre-cursor to this discussion at the @DPCDSBSchools Board Meeting. 14,000 students, 2000 students want to change, 75% online, 25% back to classrooms, but we were going to re-org every online class anyways. #what #math #statistics

What is the proper forum for you to hear our feedback? This is a one way letter. The solution isn't a solution that works - built by people that don't understand technology or how in-classroom vs virtual can be mixed. This is an impossible solution for teachers and students.

@fordnation @Sflecce @DirectorDPCDSB @CP24 This is not okay. You are going to break these students. Changing the classes now is not healthy for these students. Having to to watch a wall because the teacher is helping in school students is not okay. This is not fair to the kids!

This is a terrible ideas. Not in any way fair to students and insane for teachers. This will compromise the quality of learning, not because teacher but bc of complete chaos it will cause.

Weeellll. This isn't the dark ages. I guess I keep doing this until someone who thinks they're above talking to parents and educators starts listening. @ONeducation #youremployees #darkages

We could use some help on this topic @CatholicEdu the folks at @DPCDSBSchools who made this decision need to explain it. @CBCToronto

💯 the other option is to simply spin up new digital classes as needed, and re-deploy teachers as needed. Instead, let's start from scratch (exasperated sigh)

3. The better solution was to not have allowed any further switches if they can't manage. Pick an option & stick with it. If schools are closed, all go remote, otherwise no changes

Where and when do we get off this school bus. Is there a school board who actually knows what they're doing??
