We live in an age when many Muslims, especially those in Western societies, are asking deep questions about the Qur’an: Has it truly been preserved unchanged? How do we respond to claims about “violent verses”? What does it offer us in the modern world? Quran in Modern Times, running from November 4 to December 23, 2026, is a 7-week journey designed to answer these questions with clarity, confidence, and depth. Each week, you’ll watch pre-recorded video lessons on core themes, then join a live discussion and Q&A session every Wednesday at 6:00 PM EST to engage directly with instructors and classmates.
Google Classroom readings, weekly tasks, and fun Gimkit quizzes make learning both memorable and enjoyable. With an average of just 3 hours per week, you will explore revelation, preservation, recitations, abrogation, the miracle of the Qur’an, and its vision of civilization. You will gain the ability to respond to common critiques with evidence-based reasoning and leave with a personalized plan for lifelong engagement with the Book of Allah. If you want to approach the Qur’an with greater confidence and deepen your connection with it, there may be no better time to begin.

This course examines the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ thematically. Moving beyond a purely chronological history, this class focuses on the "Prophetic Model" as a blueprint for contemporary ethics, emotional intelligence, and social activism. We will explore how a 7th-century orphan transformed a tribal society into a global community (Ummah) through compassion, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to justice — and what that transformation demands of young Muslims today. The course is designed for high school seniors and undergraduate students: those old enough to ask hard questions and young enough to be shaped by the answers.

Welcome to Episode Two of “The Crisis of Meaning and the Cure of Sight.”
Last time, we diagnosed the modern loss of meaning. Now the harder question: what is the cure? Can the way we attend to the world actually change the world we experience?

Said Nursi wrote that the world once appeared to him like a many-layered rosebud: worlds wrapped within worlds, darkness upon darkness, until a divine name suddenly lit each one from within.
Did he really see something? Or was it his brain, his culture, his language? Or was it the workings of a mysterious reality that underpins everything around us?
As modern people, we cannot help asking these questions. In this course, Asst. Prof. Albert Frolov takes them seriously, and brings Said Nursi into conversation with some of the most influential modern thinkers on mysticism: William James, William T. Stace, John Hick, and Bernard Lonergan.
