The @ResearchHubF used our new AI assistant to: → Draft an RFP focused on hair loss research → Generate proposals in response to the RFP Now, they're inviting the community to review, comment on, and refine the proposals. researchhub.com/grant/33066/…
>Create a new AI assistant >Generate AI proposals >Incentivize experts to curate & refine >Refined proposals can get funded >Experts get sourced to execute Where AI proposals get refined, funded, then matched to scientists to execute.

Professors spend far too much time writing grants instead of doing research or mentoring the next generation of scientists. We want to bring the time spent writing grants as close to 0 as possible, so you can focus on what you enjoy most: doing science.

On April 12, 1950, a Palomar telescope photographed 9 points of light that weren't there 30 mins earlier - before satellites were in orbit. Today we launch Project Lost Light: $150,000 for independent tests of these flashes in other plate archives. researchhub.com/grant/32931/…

“show me the incentive and i show you the outcome”
A comprehensive review in @NatureMedicine examines reproducibility in biomedical research. A substantial proportion of published findings cannot be reproduced, and results or effect sizes may change when tested independently. Despite wider adoption of data and code sharing, preregistration, and reporting standards, major gaps remain in practice. Academic incentives that favor novel and positive findings also leave replication and validation studies underrecognized. AI and increasingly complex analyses make this issue even more important. The real test of a scientific finding is whether it can be reproduced and withstand independent testing. nature.com/articles/s41591-0…

Replying to @OrganoBit
@OrganoBit is also planning to launch up to $25K in Compute Grants, 5 awards of $5K each, for projects advancing preclinical assay design with AI Agents. The grants comprise of compute and/or AI tokens. We’re currently seeking institutional partner to co-host the RFP. Anyone?
ResearchHub is starting to look less like just a science platform and more like funding infrastructure for open science.

A neutrino beam has carried a digital message only once. In 2012, @Fermilab sent one through 240m of rock, spelling a word in 400 seconds. @carguelles314's proposal on ResearchHub lays the groundwork for what comes next: detector technology for practical neutrino communication.

Biology and biotech are a downstream unlock of AI. But the current rate limiting step is getting people to actually execute work in the wet labs. Crypto is a tool in the toolkit to help quickly capitalize the curation and execution of scientific research.

Congrats to @MHagenauer and her team at @UM_MNI for hitting their funding goal on ResearchHub! They’re combining public datasets to look at whether exercise, environment, and antidepressants hit the same molecular pathways in the brain. This $10k directly keeps their early-career researchers funded to continue their work.
A proposal from @MHagenauer and the Brain Data Alchemy Project at @UMich has reached its funding goal through our Neurodevelopmental & Neuropsychiatric Conditions RFP. The $10K raised will support the project's trainees. Here's what they're investigating, and why we funded it. 🧵

Crazy that getting too much sleep is actually bad for you. Also wild that this took 10 months to push through for publication. If only there was a better way to get these results disseminated...
Too little or too much sleep both link to faster biological aging across the body. Sweet spot ~6.4-7.8 hours depending on sex. Short (<6 h) and long (>8 h) both associated with higher disease risk and mortality. doi.org/10.1038/s41586-026-1…

This week @ResearchHubF handed the simulated fly brain $100 of RSC and turned open proposals into smells The connectome under it came out this month from @HHMIJanelia and @GoogleResearch It put all 100 ethereum:0xd101dcc414f310268c37eeb4cd376ccfa507f571 on one proposal - so I decided to join it by donating 10k of my own!
A simulated fly brain now has $100 in $RSC and is foraging for proposals. Real proposals on @ResearchHub are encoded as odor gradients across 5 olfactory input channels. The fly travels, samples with both antennae, then selects. Watch it live: fly.researchhub.foundation
