Scotty the T.rex was discovered 35 years ago this week (as of August 16th). Our #SkeletonCrew has worked on at least two major Scotty T. rex skeletal mounts: one at the T. rex Discovery Centre in Eastend, Saskatchewan, where we developed and mounted the complete skeleton of Scotty, which opened in May 2013, and another at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina, which went on display in 2019. We have also had the pleasure of working on Scotty a number of times. Happy #FossilFriday! In 1991, our #SkeletonCrew was at the @AMNH in New York to cast and mount the skeletons for both the Barosaurus, it's young and the Allosaurus. This also included constructing the custom steel armatures for the entire dramatic scene. #RCI #ResearchCastingInternational #Barosaurus #Allosaurus #AMNH #SkeletonCrew #Museum #Museums #MuseumServices #MuseumTechnicalServices #MuseumExhibit #Exhibits #MuseumExhibits #ExhibitDesign #ExhibitDesigner #Armature #Hashtag #Explore #Explorepage

Congratulations on your well deserved retirement Garth! Wishing you endless days of relaxation and happiness in your retirement. May this new chapter bring you great joy and fulfillment. We will miss you and all you have done for our RCI family over these past 28 years.

It's hard to believe how far we have come in 39 years. RCI has grown from a team of three in 1987 to five in 1995, to over 50 in 2026. Today we have the largest facility of its kind working with institutions and Museums and theme parks throughout the world and it wouldn't be possible without the hard work of everyone in this picture. #SkeletonCrew

Today is Vimy Ridge day and 2026 marks the 109th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. This commemorative bench, sculpted by Ruth Abernethy and designed by Linda Dicaire, was unveiled last year. Our @rcistudio team hand-cast this amazing piece at our Trenton, Ontario facility to honor the individuals that fought. This piece is now a part of The Eaton Walkway. The walkway invites visitors to reflect on courage, sacrifice, and the shared remembrance between Canada and France, providing vantage points that overlook the battlefield and the Canadian Memorial.

Check out this new article about ‘Junior,’ the Bison latifrons Skull. Just before his exhibit begins at the @Smithsonian, our #SkeletonCrew was able to give Junior a nice clean and slight touch up before its debut when the exhibition opens in early May. Happy #FossilFriday In 2018, before the famous Zuul crurivastator was to be on display at the @ROMtoronto our #SkeletonCrew needed to flip over the 75 million year old dinosaur fossil in order for further fossil preparation to get it ready to be displayed. This video showcases our team's handling of the incredible specimen and reveals how we accomplished this process. Happy New Year!! We hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing holiday season and everyone is feeling re-energized for all that 2026 has in store! We are looking forward to a lot of new and exciting projects that we can’t wait to share with you. In December of 2024 “Al” the Allosaurus went to our facility for a refurbishment and to correct it's anatomical positioning based on current science. After some great work from a couple of our #SkeletonCrew (Brian Ross, Jeff Haworth and Katie Edgar), he has been re-installed at the Geosciences, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and the High Meadows Environmental Institute! #TBT In 1993, after the release of the Jurassic Park movie, which we proudly worked on with @UniversalPics, we collaborated with the @AMNH on 'The Dinosaurs of Jurassic Park,' traveling exhibit! This awesome throwback video even contains a surprise cameo from our very own founder, Peter May!
