I tested 4 of the most popular API clients.
Here’s what I learned:
Postman – feature-rich but heavy, best for enterprises.
Bruno – Git-native, offline-first, OSS fans will love it.
Insomnia – clean, lightweight, plugin-friendly.
Requestly – elite mocking/interception, unblocks frontend teams fast.

Before we have API ready, we agree on Types (ts) of data and I mock my API responses with Requestly stub XHR/fetch. It intercepts any browser calls or responses. Responses can also be dynamic. It's a killer tool for APIs.
It has so many features. #requestly #APIs #REACT

just found out about http interceptors and how they allow us to inject mock data in live responses.
feels like an efficient way to test frontends for edge cases without relying on backend changes or setting up accounts and APIs to simulate scenarios.
definitely spending some more time today exploring it and also skimming @RequestlyIO's code to see how they actually do it ... seems pretty fun.
here's the source code, in case you are interested

Do you want to mock GraphQL APIs?
Mocking is useful when developers don't want to wait for the backend team to update the APIs.
I have covered a simple solution using @RequestlyIO.
You can even test code changes in production.
