Local Florida governments DO NOT have a revenue problem. The have a SPENDING problem! Please, read the January 2026 Florida DOGE Report especially page 14: “Soaring Property Tax Revenues Enable the Pattern of Excessive Local Spending.” Whoop! There it is! Government waste is astronomical and will only stop when they are REQUIRED to stop!
Florida, vote YES for the property tax reduction plan in November. This will be our only chance to rein in government spending because no future Governor or Florida Legislature will give us this opportunity.

Counties have plenty of funds for essential services. Property tax revenue has almost doubled in 5 years. They just need to cut out the wasteful spending, bloated budgets, and excessive administrative salaries!

I have been calling for this for several years. Obamacare would never have passed but for the 17th Amendment and the Senators would actually be accountable to the State Legislatures instead of being able to lie to or ignore the voters.

The problem with your solution is that we would have to have Congress enact the laws needed to do these things. Do you see the roadblock?
How to fix Congress:
- Lower the salary to $50k
- ban stock trading
- ban dual citizenship
- take away vacation
I guarantee this would get rid of all corruption and only bring in people who actually want to fix the country.
Right now, most are in it to enrich themselves. Take that away and you only get true patriots.
