Apple says you need a Mac to build iPhone apps.
Today I built one on Omarchy Linux, submitted it to the App Store, installed it on my iPhone over USB, and stopped it at a breakpoint in the debugger.
No Mac anywhere.
It's all open source:

Omarchy is a perfect fit for the iPad, because tiling already makes the most sense. What an awesome setup!

Okay, here's what I've been working on: Cloud Window 🙂 getcloudwindow.com
After the last demo, a bunch of you asked how to try it. I've been making the setup easier, and the first DIY release is now available.
An Omarchy desktop in your own AWS account, streamed to your iPad, phone, or laptop. Same files, same apps, same session.
I really love using this on the iPad. Here's a look at the experience, with the setup walkthrough below.

This is the actual 2003 engine compiled for ARM64 natively, no emulator.
Campaign, skirmish, Generals Challenge all work with touch controls built for an RTS.

Flutter Devs, did you know:
Flutter auto-adds a Scrollbar to scrollable widgets on desktop and web, but on mobile it's your job.
And if you add it on mobile, it clashes with desktop one on the same page.
How to fix that, and enable it app-wide on mobile?
Explained below 👇🏻

LG just dropped a Flutter fork for webOS!
📺 Building for smart TVs is great, but TV app store reviews are notoriously slow.
Imagine bypassing those delays and pushing OTA updates directly to your TV apps with @shorebirddev.
Should we support webOS?

If a product requires someone else's server to be up, connected, & maintained to run (without a clear alternative in case it fails), chances are I'll pass on buying that product.
If you buy my lectures, you're guaranteed a full (snapshot) copy of the entire module in case I stop existing or something else prevents me from continuing teaching or supporting the school servers.

LG has now released the Flutter SDK for their TVs! 🥳
A while ago I was one of the winners of the LG Hackathon and got access to the beta SDK, and many have since then asked me when they will make it available to the public, and here it is:

I've been waiting for you all! Half a year ago, I said the vision for Oref was to eliminate the need to pass context.
Now, after a long period of research, I've largely got it working! But it still needs in-depth testing! Stay tuned!
