The American Southwest, 1987. Paul Simonon of The Clash, a year after the band split, in full leathers on a Harley-Davidson. He and his friend Nigel Dixon of the rockabilly band Whirlwind went to El Paso, Texas, bought a pair of secondhand Harleys and rode them, helmets optional, all the way to Los Angeles. Once there, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols brought Paul into a Bob Dylan session, and he plays bass on "Sally Sue Brown" on Down in the Groove.
