A friendly reminder that @nydems started losing its base well before the “Biden issue.” The party has repeatedly failed to strengthen its base of give NYers something to believe in, to fight for. And when Hochul had the chance to change it (by replacing Jay Jacobs), she didn’t.

Why not set up a few virtual meet & greets with the U.S. Senate candidate(s) where State Committee members could ask questions? Why not ask the newly appointed caucus chairs to facilitate them as a way to kick off caucus events? Why is he rushing everything? Well, we know why...
To consolidate & hold on to his unquestioned authority. We can do better. We need to do better. Not just for 2024, but for 2026, 2028, 2030...we need leadership that is committed to building a strong state party. And this leadership...isn’t it. We need to #ReplaceJayJacobs.

Jay Jacobs tells Politico he will announce the Democratic nominee next Tuesday. Suozzi clearly the frontrunner to get the nod but maybe bad blood from Gov. Kathy Hochul (who Jacobs is also close to) complicates that. We’ll know soon enough!

I know most of the Dems their today/yesterday protesting + holding Jacobs to account. I know them from doing electoral and advocacy work. Jacobs should be listening to NY Dems, recognizing their efforts, bringing them in…not dividing us! – at Uniondale, NY
According to NYS Democratic Chair Jay Jacobs, questioning his leadership (which led to multiple Dem losses even across his home county) makes you akin to an election denier - and he'll only take criticisms in private.
