Until just a few months ago, I had never used AI at all.
Then circumstances forced me to stop moving the way I normally did.
So I became completely absorbed in learning AI, and I began bringing life to REPBILLY, a character and hand-drawn comic I originally created ten years ago.
A character that had lived on paper for ten years suddenly began to walk, run, speak and travel across the world.
That experience changed everything for me.
And now I want REPBILLY to become an opportunity for someone else too.

What if I’m actually a pig?
REPBILLY was searching for who he really was.
The little pig was frightened of something.
REPBILLY placed the tiny pig—who had barely seen the world—on his back and started running.

This is not just a cute short film.
On the surface, it’s pure fluff: a soft, round creature named REPBILLY with a star tail, and a tiny pink pig, running through a dreamy pastel world.
But underneath that cuteness lies something quiet and heavy about life and identity.
REPBILLY is searching for who he really is, wondering, “What if I’m actually a pig?”
The little pig, on the other hand, has almost accepted that his fate is to be eaten someday.
Both of them are trapped by the question of “what am I, and what is my destiny?” when they meet.
Then REPBILLY puts the frightened pig on his back and starts running.
That simple act of carrying him begins to shake both of their fates at once.
And while they’re running, the little pig suddenly shouts from REPBILLY’s back:
“I want to live!”
This is the core of the whole piece.
It’s not just gratitude for being saved.
It’s the exact moment the pig truly believes, for the first time, that another future might be possible.
The fact that the cry comes while they’re moving, wind rushing past, makes it feel raw and alive.
REPBILLY still doesn’t know who he is, yet he chooses to protect the fragile life in front of him.
Before finding his own identity, he decides how he wants to live. That quiet choice hits hard.
At the end, the pig says something like, “If I ever meet someone like you, I’ll make sure to tell you.”
The one who was saved now carries the possibility of helping someone else someday.
Kindness begins to chain.
It has the same DNA as Chiikawa: extremely cute on the outside, but with a gentle melancholy and depth underneath.
Most comments are just “so cute,” which makes sense — the design is magnetic.
But for those who pause, the weight of that single cry, “I want to live,” lands fully.
The film strips away almost all explanation and trusts one moment — a shout from the back — to carry everything.
That restraint and clarity of feeling is what makes it special.

To be honest, X used to feel like a scary place to me.

That’s why I decided to plant the seeds of kindness here.
For more than 10 years, I’ve carried a story in my heart.
It’s about REPBILLY—a mysterious little creature that is neither a dog nor a cat.
I drew REPBILLY over and over again in my sketchbooks until the character finally came to life.
Back then, creating an animation felt impossible. I was overwhelmed by my daily work, so REPBILLY continued to live only inside my imagination.
Then one day, an accident changed everything.
I broke three bones in my leg.
The pain was so intense that I could barely breathe, and I became bedridden. I was forced to stop working.
That was when I first wondered, “Could AI help me bring REPBILLY to life?”
So I started experimenting.
I failed countless times.
Lying in bed, my mind never stopped working.
The entire world of REPBILLY already existed perfectly in my head. Every tiny difference felt wrong, so I spent day after day guiding AI closer and closer to the vision I had imagined.
That’s why it makes me a little sad when people simply dismiss my work by saying, “It’s just AI.”
To me, AI isn’t creating the story.
It’s like working alongside countless animators to bring a world that has lived inside me for years into reality.
Today, I feel that REPBILLY is slowly helping kindness spread, little by little.
