Trump and Pete Hegseth brought us into a war that they have no clue how to get out of, and Americans are paying the price. @RepValHoyle shares why their actions are so dangerous at a time where the stakes couldn't be higher.

It’s been three years since the tragic Norfolk Southern derailment in East Palestine. It’s time for Congress to pass the BUILD America 250 Act in the full House, which includes the bipartisan Railway Safety Act.

The Trump administration now has immigration courts across the country, including in Portland, OR and Tacoma, WA, holding expedited “mega master” hearings with hundreds of cases heard in a single day. I joined with members of Oregon's delegation to demand that the administration end this harmful fast-track practice and provide due process for ALL, free from political influence.

Working people are worried about what an AI future means for their jobs and their rights. That’s why we need a voice at the table to decide how AI is used, and why America’s unions are fighting for AI guardrails in our contracts. nwaonline.com/news/2026/sep/…

*9 to 5* may have been a comedy, but for so many of us women fighting for respect on the job, it felt all too real. Dolly helped make us laugh at the boss and imagine what we could change together. Happy 9 to 5 Day! We miss you, Dolly.

There's no such thing as “conservative” science or “liberal” science — there's just science.
This should concern everyone. If you agree that the FDA—an agency that influences access to abortion pills, contraception, fertility drugs, and other essential medicine—should only be making EVIDENCE-based decisions, we need you to take action NOW: bit.ly/4hbJf2A

Healthy patients matter more than healthy profits.   It’s past time we kicked private equity out of health care!

Thank you to Senators Warren (D-MA), Wyden (D-OR) and Merkely (D-OR) and Reps. Hoyle (D-OR), Subramanyan (D-VA), and Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for introducing the Stop Corporate Takeovers of Physicians Act. AAEM helped shape it. Press conference at 5:00pm ET: youtube.com/RepValHoyle

Who does your doctor work for? Far too often, the answer is a private equity firm, an insurance conglomerate, or another corporate entity more interested in padding their bottom lines than serving patients and providing fair wages and conditions for workers. The Stop Corporate Takeovers of Physicians Act would strengthen existing bans and rein in the corporate capture of medicine.

Across the country, private equity and corporations are buying up doctors' offices, leading to patients paying more for worse care. @RepValHoyle and I are introducing the Stop Corporate Takeovers of Physicians Act to get Wall Street out of Americans’ doctors’ offices.

80% of doctors are now employed by corporate entities. Meanwhile, care is more expensive than ever, quality has gone down, and independent physicians are being pushed out of business. It's no wonder 66% of voters support prohibiting private equity and other corporate entities from owning or controlling physician practices. The Stop Corporate Takeovers of Physicians Act will strengthen long-standing bans on the corporate practice of medicine and help rein in the corporate capture of medicine.
Our healthcare systems should serve the best interests of patients, not corporations. That’s why I introduced the Stop Corporate Takeovers of Physicians Act with @RepAOC and @RepSuhas to ensure proper protections are in place, so that corporations and VC firms can't take over local clinics and physician groups.

Trump chose war with Iran. Now he wants you to pick up the tab. Americans deserve to know where their tax dollars are going. I’m backing @RepValHoyle’s No WAR Act to stop Trump from abusing loopholes to fund his illegal war.

While hardworking Americans are struggling to pay for food, housing, and healthcare and American service members are putting their lives on the line—this guy is over here building an arch to himself in front of Arlington National Cemetery. Disgraceful.
We are pleased to announce that after a very long wait (over 125 years!), we are preparing to start, over the next two-week period, the excavation work necessary for the Great Triumphal Arch and Military Observation Deck, at Memorial Circle on Columbia Island between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. This will be one of the Great Pieces of American Architecture, honoring the history and significance of Arlington Cemetery and befitting the most powerful Capital in the World.
