Last year, Washington politicians handed out massive tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations – and paid for them by ripping health care away from working families. These cuts have driven up premiums, put more pressure on our rural hospitals, and left thousands of Upstate New Yorkers without coverage. That’s why I just introduced a bill to reinstate funding for New York’s Essential Plan program, which provides affordable health insurance for nearly 15,000 people in NY-19. I won’t let our communities lose the health care they depend on.
