The night we first got elected - Runoff election April 14, 1992. I was tired but happy that my future wife was with me that night. We were engaged 2 years later. As they say, it’s been a heck of a ride — and we’re still riding!!! If you know Michelle, you know she’s the best!

Great day for boating safety! @GovAbbott just signed Kali's Law, requiring boat operators to use an engine cutoff switch. In the last 3 years, 124 people lost their lives in boating accidents. @TPWDnews estimates that 116 would have survived if cutoff switch would have been used.

Extremely proud to pass HB 24. Studies show child witnesses to domestic violence: 6x more likely to commit suicide, 3x to become abusers, 2x to abuse drugs. HB 24 recognizes these children as victims and is important 1st step of identifying + connecting them to services. #txlege
