Akusado ng limpak-limpak na unexplained wealth, plunder at abuse of public funds, tangkang pagpatay, at ngayon, may mga transaksiyon pang nag-uugnay sa kanyang pamilya sa milyones mula sa China. Hindi na lamang ito usapin ng hindi maipaliwanag at tagong yaman. Tinutumbok na rin nito ang pagtatryador sa Pilipinas,” David said. Joining the protest were Magdalo, Mamamayang Liberal, Tindig Pilipinas, August Twenty One Movement (ATOM), the Student Council Alliance of the Philippines (SCAP), Akbayan Youth, Solidarity for Truth and Justice, Everywoman, and the Sentro Labor Center. The Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) reported that Cale88 Foods Corp., identified in financial records as linked to Manases “Mans” Carpio, spouse of the Vice President, received P319 million in remittances from China. Akbayan Senator Risa Hontiveros identified some of the remitters as Chinese state-linked entities, including Xinjiang Fruit Industry Group, which are reportedly all under the control of the Chinese Communist Party. “Kaya pala tahimik sa kaliwa’t kanang kaso ng pandarahas ng China sa ating mga mangingisda. Akbayan said the China-linked transactions add to a broader financial record now before the impeachment court, with AMLC records showing P4.4 billion in covered and suspicious bank transactions involving Duterte and Carpio from 2007 to 2025, far beyond Duterte’s declared lawful income. Their combined year-end bank balances also ballooned to P190 million from 2022 to 2025, even as Duterte declared zero cash on hand and zero cash in bank in her SALNs during the same period. Akbayan called on the senator-judges to fulfil their constitutional duty and convict Duterte. “Narinig na natin ang mga kuwento. Nakita na natin ang mga resibo. Si Sara ay pumaldo, pero maraming yaman ang hindi deklarado. Tumanggap pa ng milyones mula sa China, na kanyang amo.
