Beau Bayh talks reform. His father’s political war chest helps pay the bills.
According to the Indiana Capital Chronicle, Evan Bayh transferred at least $2.4 million to Indiana Democrats while the party directed $2.2 million toward supporting Beau’s campaign.
Hoosiers deserve answers about the money and connections behind his campaign.
Indiana’s Secretary of State’s office is not a Bayh family inheritance.

Welp, fun debate. Time for Max to go back to his Indiana family, at his Indiana home, that's totally in Indiana because he's a real Indianan. Max's home livecam:
In this clip, @BeauBayh lays out three things NOBODY else on stage would commit to: Audit the office, not trade individual stocks, and not award contracts to donors. The choice is clear!
After spending a decade in D.C. trading stocks and getting rich, perhaps @MaxForIndiana IS the most experienced person to step into the SOS office as it currently operates. But I say #GoBeau to change the office entirely and make it work for the people again!
If the Supreme Court won't let us get money out of politics entirely, we need Bayh's plan to inject sunlight directly into the campaign finance system in Indiana. @MaxForIndiana just wants to find new ways to collect illegal contributions.
"We've uncovered 22 instances of illegal voting, you need to call your buddy the Attorney General and get him on the case. You haven't done that."
I told Tippy Toes Diego he wasn't going to be driving that Denali next year. A vote for @BeauBayh means nobody will driving that luxury SUV on taxpayer's dime.
I know @MaxForIndiana owns AI stocks, but just watching the debate, I have to assume he also owns stock in LA Looks or some other hair gel company.
Beau's answer on AI shows his deep understanding of this office and what Hoosiers need. Max says we need to lock up notary impersonators (wtf) Beau says he'll use his office's securities oversight to take on people who use AI to scam older Hoosiers.
Maybe @MaxForIndiana didn't mention how AI can harm Hoosiers because he made millions on data center and AI stocks? 🤔
Can't believe this is something that separates Bayh from @MaxForIndiana
Engling's first priority isn't cleaning up the rampant corruption in that office?! He wants a transparency portal...but won't support Bayh's push for a forensic audit.
Okay, love that @BeauBayh mentioned selling that $92k luxury SUV. I authored the bill outlawing future purchases of vehicles like that - but republicans killed my effort to dispose of the existing luxury vehicles.
Two IMPD East District officers were shot last night while responding to a disturbance call. They were doing exactly what we ask of them every day: showing up when our community needed help. I got notified of the incident as it happened. Like most law enforcement families, Brittany and I waited anxiously for an update on their condition. I'm thankful both officers are reported to be in stable condition.
My thoughts are with the injured officers, their loved ones, and all of my sisters and brothers at IMPD. Wishing them a full and speedy recovery.

We edited the Indiana Statehouse like reality TV, because unfortunately, what Statehouse Republicans have been up to deserves the dramatic music.
Our nation’s story is filled with women who shaped the moral and civic foundations we rely on today. Their leadership didn’t always receive the spotlight, but it left a lasting impact.
This month, we honor those women and recommit ourselves to ensuring that the next generation of girls grows up with safe communities, strong freedoms, and equal treatment. We celebrate the women who broke barriers, the women building a more inclusive democracy today, and the next generation ready to carry the work forward. #WomensHistoryMonth2026
From marching alongside Dr. King to building the Rainbow Coalition, he reminded America that democracy works best when everyone has a seat at the table. His voice carried hope into communities too often unheard, and his faith fueled a movement that changed our nation.
His life was a testament to courage, conviction, and compassion.
Keep hope alive.
