We joined a new team today. #termlimits
Last night, we got to watch @TheLeeGreenwood perform at the @indgop Dinner! 🇺🇸
Can you believe this American legend turns 84 this week?! Still singing God Bless the U.S.A. and bringing the patriotism!
Go, Patriot! 🇺🇸🎶
It is Columbus Day! 🇺🇸 A day to celebrate the best of the West: intellectual tolerance, free speech, representative government, and the scientific method.
The West is under attack. Those who seek to diminish Columbus’s legacy should remember that his voyage forever changed the course of civilization. 🌎
Today, I began a new responsibility as the Indiana Finance Authority’s designee on the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority Board of Directors, where I will also serve as Chairman.
I’m honored to serve and look forward to helping advance housing policy across Indiana.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit the 9/11 Memorial, I encourage you to do so. It’s a solemn place, and it’s hard to visit because of the weight of what happened there, but it’s important that we remember.
May we take the time today to pause, reflect, and remember the thousands of innocent lives lost in the attacks of September 11, 2001.
We remember their families, the first responders who ran toward danger, and all those who sacrificed in the days and years that followed.
I will never forget.
Respecting the rule of law is intended to prevent these tragedies from happening. It is heartbreaking. Politics should shape a policy before it becomes law, not intentionally ignore its enforcement once it becomes law.
I regulate and enforce laws every day that I would not necessarily have voted for. But once they become law, it is my responsibility to enforce them.
.@DollyParton had a special way in connecting with all walks of life with her natural talent and down to earth style. She made you feel like you could be her friend. She loved people and used her immense success to give back. She’ll be missed in our neck of the woods too.
Heartbreaking news this morning following last night’s severe storms. Thank you to the first responders, utility crews, and everyone working to keep Hoosiers safe and help our communities recover.
Hoosiers come together in times like this. Praying for all those affected. 🙏🇺🇸
My heart is with every Hoosier impacted by today’s severe weather. I am devastated to learn of the loss of life, injuries, and damaged homes.
We are working around the clock with local officials, emergency responders and utility crews to get resources where they’re needed most following today’s severe storms and widespread power outages.
I have directed the Indiana Department of Homeland Security to lead our state’s response efforts in collaboration with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Indiana State Police, Indiana National Guard, Indiana Department of Transportation, and the Indiana Department of Correction.
ISP and INDOT are currently on the ground clearing roads and providing security and DNR and DOC are deploying additional crews to clear downed power lines and debris. I am continuing to assess conditions and stand ready to activate the Indiana National Guard if additional support is needed.
Our priority is keeping Hoosiers safe, supporting communities as they assess the damage, and restoring power as quickly as possible.
🔵 Please stay off the roads where conditions are dangerous and follow guidance from local authorities.
🔵 If you have been affected by today’s storm, please contact your county emergency management agency.
🔵 If your power is out, cooling centers can be found in your area by visiting: on.in.gov/coolingcenters
Amy and I are praying for the two @IMPDnews officers injured in last night’s shooting and wishing them a full and speedy recovery. I’m grateful for the courage of the officers who ran toward danger to protect our community. Please keep our law enforcement, their families, and everyone affected in your prayers. 📷

Indiana’s history is woven into the fabric of our nation. #America250 is a reminder of how far we have come as a country, and that our best days are still ahead. Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸
History is filled with once-great nations that eventually faded because they lost sight of the values that made them strong. Freedom is never guaranteed. Every generation inherits it, but every generation must also choose whether it is worth preserving. That responsibility begins by passing along our love of country, our history, and the principles of liberty to the next generation.
As you gather with family, fire up the grill, and watch the fireworks this Independence Day weekend, take a moment to think about the men who risked everything during the American War for Independence. I’ll be asking myself whether I’m doing enough to carry on the legacy they entrusted to us. 🎇

Happy 250th Anniversary to the greatest country in the world. Lest we forget, without America’s Veterans, America simply wouldn’t exist. All gave some. Some, gave all. God Bless America.
And it only took him 17 days.

Congratulations to @MaxForIndiana for getting the @indgop nomination to run for Indiana Secretary of State. Thank you to Secretary Diego Morales for your service. God has a plan for your life. To David Shelton & Jaimie, thank you for stepping up highlighting your distinguished service and desire to protect our freedom.
Congratulations to my former colleague, @ChuckGoodrich24! A great choice by @GovBraun to lead Indiana Commerce. I’m confident Chuck’s experience as a business owner and servant leader will help Indiana continue to grow and thrive.
Indiana Gov. Mike Braun plans to name former state lawmaker Chuck Goodrich, CEO and owner of Indianapolis-based Gaylor Electric Inc., to serve as the state’s next commerce secretary.

INDY FOP STATEMENT after FOP Delegates throughout Indiana Vote “No Confidence” in Marion County Prosecutor RYAN MEARS
“While embarrassing for our city — rank and file officers from around Indiana know the name Ryan Mears and it is not for a good reason.”

I’m pleased to announce that 90 Indiana candidates heading to the general election this November—65 Republicans and 25 Democrats—have signed the @USTermLimits pledge, demonstrating the broad, bipartisan support for congressional term limits across the Hoosier State. And more are signing.
Even though Indiana has won its part by becoming one of 14 states to pass a resolution calling for a constitutional amendment establishing congressional term limits, candidates regardless of political affiliation continue to sign the U.S. Term Limits pledge signifying Indiana’s strong support for congressional term limits.
Congressional term limits remain one of the few issues that unites Americans regardless of political party. A recent NPR/Marist poll conducted in March found overwhelming support for term limits, with 89% of Republicans, 78% of Democrats, and 84% of independents favoring limits on the amount of time members of Congress can serve.
Thanks to the leadership of Indiana lawmakers and the support of voters across our state, Indiana is helping lead a growing national movement to restore citizen representation and accountability in Washington.
But the work is not finished. Under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, 34 states must pass resolutions before a constitutional amendment can be proposed without congressional approval. With 14 states already on board, we are making significant progress, but 20 more states are still needed to reach the required threshold.
That is why grassroots support remains so important. If you have friends, family members, or colleagues in states that have not yet passed a term limits resolution, encourage them to contact their state legislators and urge them to support congressional term limits. Candidates and lawmakers can also demonstrate their commitment by signing the U.S. Term Limits pledge.
Together, we can continue building momentum toward a constitutional amendment that reflects the will of the American people. If you would like to add your voice to this effort, please sign the national petition supporting congressional term limits at the link below.
The movement is growing, the support is overwhelming, and with continued citizen involvement, we can get congressional term limits across the finish line.

Eighty-two years ago today, brave Americans stormed the beaches of Normandy and changed the course of history.
The young men who took part in the D-Day invasion faced impossible odds, yet their courage helped liberate Europe and secure freedom for generations to come.
Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free and that each generation has a responsibility to preserve it.
