A self-described "lifelong Democrat" told Congress she is "ashamed" of her party after her son and his new bride were killed in a crash involving an illegal immigrant truck driver licensed by California.
Elizabeth Carter testified that her son William and his wife Jennifer were returning from their wedding reception in Oregon when they slammed into a jackknifed big rig driven by illegal immigrant Rajinder Kumar. They had been married just 16 days.
"They lost the Russian roulette game our government is forcing them to play," Carter told lawmakers. When pressed by Rep.
