We know in our post-Roe world we must explore every option to ensure WA’s long legacy of safeguarding reproductive freedom continues. That’s why we passed SB 5768 to protect access to mifepristone, so our neighbors can get the abortion care they need when they need it. #WALeg
If you need an abortion or gender affirmation care & it’s no longer legal in your home state, Washington is a safe place for you. We strengthened our commitment moments ago by passing the Shield Law off the Senate floor & sending it to the Governor for signature. 💜💜💜

The state Supreme Court upheld the capital gains excise tax—a major step forward to fixing our upside-down tax code. This will inject much-needed funding into childcare support for working parents & provide relief for low- to middle-income taxpayers. #WALeg
