Recovery Month is an opportunity to celebrate individuals in recovery and identify providers, treatment facilities, and family members and friends who all support them throughout their journey.

I’ll always be a champion for the most vulnerable people living in PA. Approximately 1.5 million Pennsylvanians are living with food insecurity and have limited access to nutritious food.

With federal cuts to programs that help individuals afford these basic needs, recognizing Hunger Action Month is just the start at combatting this epidemic. What matters now is not what we know or say, but what we do.

Now we must act based on the example of the many organizations across our commonwealth that lend a hand to those in need.

The Underground Railroad played a pivotal role in the route to freedom for many enslaved men and women. My joint resolution with @repsappey highlights the courage and bravery of these conductors as well as emphasizes PA’s critical role in providing stops for freedom.

While this #PaBudget doesn’t include everything we wanted, there are still major wins to be proud of. Overall, this budget is about taking care of the people of Pennsylvania. Watch my comments below to see how we do this!

Your vote is your voice. Your vote is power. Please don't take it for granted. Previous generations of Americans made great sacrifices to protect that right, and it's more important than ever to have a say in the policies that affect you and your loved ones. Get out and vote!

My bill requiring chip technology for EBT cards unanimously passed the #PAHouse today and would provide additional security for families who depend on those benefits. Thank you to @RepHeffleyPA for your collaboration on this important bill.

For those relying on EBT cards, stolen benefits can mean going without the groceries they need. My bill would require PA to transition to chip-enabled EBT cards, an important security measure that will better protect against identity theft.

It was a privilege to deliver the opening prayer to begin the 5th annual K. Leroy Irvis Day of Action. Today we recognize and honor the contributions and legacy of Pennsylvania’s first African American Speaker of the House.

With the state of the world, we need to look out for each other more than ever. This is especially true for our disabled brothers & sisters. We must do everything we can to ensure the support they need so that they can live long, fulfilling lives.

I was honored to stand with @PAHumanServices and direct care workers to highlight how investments in this year's #PABudget have led to higher wages and paid leave time for these essential and exceptional caregivers.

The changes to SNAP by D.C. Republicans have left many of our neighbors hungry. During #PAHouse budget hearings, I asked the Department of Human Services what’s being done to minimize the impact and restore benefits to those who have been kicked off for paperwork problems.

Black History Month isn’t just about remembering the past—it’s about learning from it. Our faith, resilience, and roots have carried us through injustice and continue to guide how we live, lead, and serve today. RepDanWilliams.com
