20 years ago today I took my oath to become a United States Citizen. Just 16 years later, I took another oath, now to serve as a member of the United States Congress after being elected as the first immigrant from Mexico to serve in federal office in AZ. As my dad always says, only in America. This is the land of opportunity and we must fight to keep the American Dream alive!
