Today, we remember the victims of October 7 … innocent civilians who were murdered, kidnapped, and taken hostage.
We should honor the victims, reject political violence, and work toward peace, dignity, and safety for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
I got some great news today - Coxe Park was selected to receive a $400,000 state grant to help with renovations that are planned for the park! Congrats to everyone involved in making this happen!

As part of our new budget, we're making major investments in public safety across our commonwealth. I know just how important community safety is to everyone, especially at home.
On Sunday we passed a budget that includes new updates for SNAP - putting money aside to issue chip-enabled cards to protect benefits from theft.
I also worked to ensure funding for food pantries and programs was not cut - because I know how important access food is for families
Today my bill to keep vapes out of minors' hands is moving forward! With unanimous passage out of committee it now heads to the House floor.
My bill would penalize businesses that sell vapes to young people - pushing back against an ongoing public safety & health issue!
I recently met with the PA Hardwood Council to find out about trees, wood products and how they impact our state.
In addition to providing oxygen, in PA wood products are big business, employing more than 60,000 people and contributing more than $39 BILLION to our state economy
Today I was thrilled to welcome my guy, Gov. @JoshShapiroPA to West Philly to talk about a law we passed that’s putting close to $200 million back in the pockets of nearly 950,000 working people here in Pennsylvania!
Save the date - This Valentine’s Day, we’re showing love to our youth. All roads lead to West Philadelphia High School for the largest youth-centered event in the city: our 3rd Annual Youth Career & College Fair. 📚
Times are tough and for some, toughest during the holidays. That’s why I was proud to join my colleagues to help @CaringforFriends and draw attention to the struggles that many are facing in our communities.

After federal food aid cuts earlier this year, @RepAmenBrown used his @padempolicy hearing to focus on hunger in PA. In the recently passed PA budget, @PaHouseDems delivered more funding for food banks and hungry families.
Hunger doesn't sleep. Every day these folks and organizations are working to make sure families in our community have food to eat.
But the need is real and growing, and we must work together as a commonwealth to combat food insecurity.
This weekend we had 1,300 people come to my back-to-school event 'Breezy World' in #Philly, where we gave away 900 backpacks and 650+ pairs of sneaks!!
I know how families are struggling, so we do what we can to help out and make sure kids have a good first day of school!!
I also want to thank @RyanBizzarro and my colleagues for joining us in this fight and to listen to these stories. Together, we must act to ensure every family has dignity, stability, and food on the table.
Earlier this week I hosted @PADemPolicy hearing in Philly talking about food insecurity and #Hunger. Real people, real stories, and a real truth that needs to be heard. People are struggling, and cuts to SNAP and other programs is only going to make it worse.

HAPPENING TODAY - inflation & food prices continue to rise, leaving families struggling to put food on the table. Join me this afternoon as I bring @PADemPolicy to #Philly to talk about what PA can do to make sure no one goes hungry.

Too many people are paycheck to paycheck - a sudden expense can leave them without grocery money.

⚠️ The 911 system in Pennsylvania is having some outages across the Commonwealth. We are working with technical experts to resolve the issue and restore service as quickly as possible.
Please only call 911 for true emergencies. Do not call just to check whether it is working.
If you can't get through and need emergency response, call your local 911 office directly. Find yours: readypa.info/psaps
