Income tax rebates return YOUR money to YOU. If the surplus isn’t taxpayers’ money, then whose is it?
We hear the call for lasting change and share that goal. But with limited surplus and divided government, we have to prioritize: tax relief for WI families and strong special education funding.
No tax on overtime is a necessary reform. Our law enforcement partners agree that to recruit and retain officers, we should stop taxing the extra hours they work to protect our communities.
Today I'm proudly supporting returning $1.8 billion back to the taxpayers who earned it. This bill delivers real property tax relief, rewards hard work by ending the tax on tips and overtime, and supports the people who keep our communities running.
To all teachers, especially right here in Wisconsin, THANK YOU for showing up every day and doing the work that shapes our future. One lesson, one student, one moment at a time.
