Had to move some mountains but the cherry on top of a great summer is heading to @thechicks at @GorgeAmphitheat with my sister! This is the kind of #biggirlenergy to start off another teaching year! #renettacalmdown

This kind of feedback will be my next PTI goal!
James’ unofficial report card by the best teacher, ever.
Bloody hell. Looking at a message from the Ukraine Library Association concerning the cancellation of their forthcoming conference. it basically says "We will reschedule just as soon as we have finished vanquishing our invaders". Ukrainian Librarians, I salute you

I drove by @JanisIrwin today, my emphatic double-thumbs up were a bit over the top. My daughter was initially horrified by me but the best news? She said at bedtime, “I read up on her. She’s my new hero.” I am no longer the cringey mom!!!

My school year always starts with creating a bulletin board to set direction for September. My daughter and I found common ground in #Hamilton and it made perfect sense for this year! Thanks @Lin_Manuel !!#BacktoSchool2021 #teacherlife #not9to5

@ShenandoahRJ I missed my niece working her annual “community service”. 😭
In a recent APSI, a participant said she wants to be intentional about including texts centered on joy during the upcoming year. Here’s the start of a crowd sourced list of joy-filled texts. The doc is open so feel free to add and spread the joy. docs.google.com/spreadsheets…

Re: @AdrianaLaGrange article in Calgary Herald (calgaryherald.com/opinion/co…) Her claims "After years of declining student performance..." is FALSE. In 2015, Alberta ranked 1,2,3 in Canada for SC, LA, MA. In 2018, we rank 1,1,3 in SC, LA, MA. A retraction is in order. #ableg

Jason Kenney is misleading about the national immunization recommendations. NACI recommends the prioritization of all front line workers, including education workers. #abed #ableg – at Strathcona County, Alberta

Most students with disabilities do not need lower expectations for any skill; they need support, time, and sometimes intervention. But let's keep the bar high! #LeadInclusion #Globalsped #edchat

“Building these beds with my class made me realize how fortunate I am. Many families just don’t have enough money to afford basic needs. I’m grateful we get a chance to help make a difference for these kids.” #shpk #strathco #fortsask @eips @ShpBeds sherwoodparknews.com/news/wo…

“These notes have exposed an important truth: Students have a deep desire to be known. Students recognize that time was set aside for them, that they’re worth being known.” It might be a good time to grab some paper and pen, and write a card. 💌 edutopia.org/article/value-m…
