Disagree. The true gold standard of stalker enemies done right is still the original RE3's Nemesis. You have fight or flight options. He's an actual threat with RNG spawns. You can't outrun him and when defeated, he drops good rewards & leaves you alone until the next event.

I actually love stalker enemies in games if they're done right. Mr. X is the gold standard because he is a dangerous obstacle, but you can choose to spend resources or use map knowledge to avoid him, and being pro-active/cautious goes a long way. Very few are like that though.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is an extremely bizarre game. It has the skeleton of RE2 and features its iconic characters, weapons, enemies, and key items. The RPD layout is almost the same too But it also plays nothing like RE2. The way you process the space is totally different
