I lost a friend recently. She is a Jewish rabbi. The issue was my posting negative things about Benjamin Netanyahu and what's going on in Israel. She said that her congregation has been receiving threats and people are scared. I always made it clear in my posts that Netanyahu does not represent all people of the Jewish faith, nor does he represent Judaism in general. That wasn't good enough. She didn't want me drawing attention to what has been happening at all, She told me she feels I am no longer an ally, so she unfriended me. She and I went to high school together. Granted, we haven't seen one another since 1979, but I've always thought highly of her and was happy to reconnect with her on Facebook. Years ago. I'm not going to push. The door is always open on my end, but it makes me sad.
