As long as a policy harms Black people, many White people will support it, even if it means they're hurt in the process. They cut their nose to spite their face. Racism is a crash out.

As a lawyer who practices constitutional law for impoverished clients I know the system is a sham, unless you’re very wealthy or connected. We try to push the law as far as we can for people, but there is always a brick wall when you’re fighting against the powers that be. The system isn’t broken, it was designed this way. It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

And Democrats said nothing.

Cubans in Miami (I'm one) are white people. We grow up in a place where the cops, the teachers, the elected officials, and the business owners all look and sound like us, and we don't face any discrimination. What's whiter than that?
