Dove Award-winning Christian rapper Hulvey canceled a sold-out concert in Amsterdam just an hour before taking the stage after discovering graphic sexual images and explicit objects displayed inside the venue. Hulvey said his team asked venue officials to cover the material, but they refused to cover most of it. With children among those attending, he said he could not allow fans to be exposed to content he believed violated his Christian convictions. “There is one that I answer to, and that’s Jesus,” he said. Speaking to fans outside, Hulvey said he had never canceled a show before but was willing to accept the cost of standing by his faith. He also emphasized that he did not hate the venue staff and prayed for purity, forgiveness, and courage to obey God when doing so is difficult.
