New from #Kineticolor:
Computer Vision Helps Experimentally Monitor Mixing Effects in Deep Eutectic Solvents
Mixing matters, and you have to monitor it over time…beware of vessel reaction geometry!
🎥 If you can see it, we can help you measure it.

Recently, we bade farewell to the fantastic Hannah Nicklas, following her eye-opening MSc research project.
The #Kineticolor team is reminded that we are a part of all that we have met.
We look forward to reporting on Hannah’s forensics-focused research in the near future!

#AnalyticalChemistry #DigitalColorimetry #ComputerVision #Kineticolor
ℹ️ Key findings:
📸 Using a color reference chart, we reduced measurement errors between different phones by 65-70%
📸 Successfully monitored chemical reactions in real-time using just smartphone videos
📸 Identified important limitations when measuring highly saturated colors

📢NEW #KINETICOLOR PAPER🧪📸
In our latest collaboration with colleagues from @StrathForensics:
ℹ️ “…protocols utilising #Kineticolor, a computer vision software, were developed to qualitatively and quantitatively study presumptive tests for xylazine detection…these findings represent the first presumptive test strategy towards specific, quantifiable and potentially field-ready detection of xylazine.”
