Riders deserve to heard and we need @NJTransit_CA to advocate for *us* on this issue. He is supposed to be the *Customer* Advocate, not the “Board Advocate” or “Management Advocate.”

In response to federal cybersecurity recommendations #SEPTA has pro-actively taken some digital tools temporarily offline to install security patches. These tools include real-time travel information and alerts normally available on the SEPTA app, our social media channels, SEPTA.org and third-party apps.
We will share updates as soon as they are available.

The Governor and Legislature need to make @NJTRANSIT hold public hearings before each and every fare increase, as the 2018 NJ Transit reform law intends and requires. NJ Transit has not delivered accountability or improvements on key issues.

Three years ago @NJTRANSIT riders thought the problem of trains cancelled because of “train crew availability” was fixed, with just one train cancelled for that reason in 2023.
So far this year, that number is 803.

Covid can cause long-term damage to nearly every part of the body and repeated cases can compound those harms. A number of studies have shown that each time someone contracts Covid introduces an opportunity to develop long-term symptoms. Researchers often compare it to Russian roulette: Any infection could be the one that leads to long Covid. “Every time there’s a wave, there’s another wave that’s going to follow with patients developing new onset long Covid,” said Akiko Iwasaki, an immunologist at Yale University.

SEPTA updates its Regional Rail schedules four times per year to improve reliability and adjust for capital projects and infrastructure improvements.
These new schedules include minor improvements that translate to more predictable and reliable service. SEPTA continues to increase the number of train cars available for service which means trains will be longer and provide more space for riders.
Schedule Update Highlights:
More consistent line pairings to improve predictability and reliability.
Amtrak work continues to impact the Paoli/Thorndale Line until November 21. Inbound trains operate 5 minutes earlier to William H. Gray III 30th St Station and trains are rerouted between Overbrook and Gray 30th St Station.
Paoli/Thorndale train 5300 which used to leave Malvern at 4:29AM is now 9500 and departs 20 minutes later.

@NJTRANSIT so you cancel several of the trains that are only running once an hour anyway? Unreal. First the Hoboken nonsense and the few trains going to Penn are canceled cuz of crew availability? How about yall do y’all’s jobs and make the trains run
Crews arbitrarily closing cars on NJ Transit for use as employee lounge is very common, but contrary to @NJTRANSIT’s own published regulations.
Totally unacceptable, especially as riders pay ever increasing fares without so much as a single public hearing.

So a conductor on Nec train #3848 just told me 'no quiet car'. Is that a thing? The first car is closed off, but must be just fine as the conductors seem to be using it as a clubhouse. Two NJTRANSIT employees have a club car. Lucky them 👏

Technically, they'll meet the Governor's deadline to rollout new trains, if the cars pass NJT and federal testing, but not all are being deployed. nj.com/news/2026/10/nj-trans…
