Genesis 24 How a Wise Man Seeks God’s Guidance Abraham sent his servant to find a wife for Isaac, but the servant did not depend only on his own judgment. He prayed and asked God to guide him to the right woman. This shows us that a wise person does not rush into important decisions without seeking God first. When the servant arrived, he asked God for a sign, and Rebekah appeared and showed remarkable kindness by giving him water and also offering to water his camels. The servant carefully watched her actions and recognized that God had answered his prayer. The lesson is that a wise person prays, observes, waits, and trusts God’s direction. Genesis 24 reminds us that when we place our important decisions before God, we should also be willing to recognize His guidance and follow it faithfully.
