Panie Ministrze
@PAN_akademia
Prof. Victor Ambros and Prof. @A_Chacinska sent a letter to MNiSW on the upcoming PAS excellence programme calling for independent expert evaluation and warning that current criteria could disadvantage young, high-performing institutes like IMol despite their research excellence

Great joint work with Niels Fischer, driven by joint first authors Thomas Schöndorf (UMG) and Valentyn Petrychenko (MPI-NAT), with important input from Ilgin Kotan and Günter Kramer (Heidelberg University), and the whole team — many thanks to everyone involved!
How do mitochondrial ribosomes keep pace with membrane insertion?
We address this question in our paper “Membrane insertion of mitochondrial-encoded proteins regulates ribosome decoding speed,” now out in Nature Structural & Molecular Biology (Link).
