"Social media engagement levels have skyrocketed on all US based platforms because they got rid of the fake accounts with the Yandex bombing" Activity went up. The problem can't have improved.

In 2016, Basabe was charged disorderly conduct after climbing on the roof of a moving car and screaming strangers. In 2020, he was arrested on an outstanding warrant for that incident and the prosecutor had to ask for a change of venue because Basabe kept trying to "influence" the prosecutor. In 2023, a staffer accused him of getting tanked at Desantis' inauguration and then slapping him in the face. Later in 2023, Basabe was accused by several of male staffer of sexual harassment for repeated attempts to sleep with them. This year, Basabe has already had to pay out $450k to just one of his many, many alleged victims.
BREAKING: @BillyCorben reveals State Rep. Fabian Basabe is using taxpayer money, totaling $2700 per month, to pay himself rent for a “district office” that is not in his district, has no staff, serves no discernible purpose, and is not listed in his official state website.

In a realistic, modern version of Batman, he'd get a degree in accounting and make himself an indirect report to CFO. He would bury himself within the company and wait. He would have to fight crime invisibly. No tech tools...ever...just pure social engineering and discipline.
This is an interesting point, but I think it’s a bit behind the curve. Allowing for “Daredevil” or “Batman”, even cinematic adaptations of “Spider-Man” and “The Punisher” pushed past being “vigilantes” to conspiracy thrillers and private drone fleets, privatising the state.

Dear entertainers, Your lawyer is colluding with your agent, manager, business manager and accounting against your interests. That's why you're being told you're "handcuffed" to a project. It's just not true. They misrepresented the contract which invalidates the signing.
Danny Trejo had "never heard" of Ben Shapiro before signing on to star in his production company's pro-ICE film "Pawn Shop," says the actor's son: "My 82 year old dad has never heard of Ben Shapiro, I had to explain to him who that is, and what kind of guy he is. My dad contractually can’t badmouth him, the film, or walk away without being sued for breach of contract. He couldn’t even release the statement he wanted to." variety.com/2026/film/news/d…

Bank of America is a drug cartel. Pass it on.
U.S. regulators imposed more than $1.21 billion in penalties on Bank of America over failures in its anti-money laundering controls and apparent sanctions violations. The bank admitted to willfully violating the Bank Secrecy Act and said it is investing billions of dollars to fix the problems. buff.ly/Mw4RUK0

Everyone know who's watching VisionQuest right now, here's a small spoiler: Tom King is a fucking moron and his comics are some of the worst writing in the history of the medium. The fact that his work is the jumping off point for this series means it's going to be bad.

Mamdani can end Dolan's regime tomorrow with a single memo. MSG cannot operate without several hundred uniformed NYPD officers working security. If they aren't deployed, MSG can't open. If they're deployed against the Mayor's orders, he can remove Tisch. The law is clear.
New York must nuke Jam*s D*lan into the ground. Remove their favorable tax status. Do it tomorrow.

There is zero reason to "yes, and" the premises of corruption. Corporations don't exist. Contributions don't exist. Donations don't exist. If you believe that paying a politician is a bribe then you can say it. I believe that paying is a crime and Musk is doing it.
The maximum amount an individual can donate to a candidate is $3500. Elon Musk has spent $366 million on the 2026 midterms — so far. Billionaires shouldn’t be allowed to buy elections — and this shouldn’t be controversial to anyone who claims to care about “election integrity.”

I'm not mad about it but does anyone feel like explaining to me why Ken Paxton has spent the last 2 months campaigning for James Talarico? Paxton was a lock...and then Paxton started doing interviews. Did Talarico hire Paxton? Because he's doing the good work. 🤣🤷‍♂️
Ken Paxton when he was asked on Fox News when he’ll debate James Talarico. “Well every time we try to schedule, he asks for something we can’t do.” The thing that Ken can’t do is man up and step on a stage and debate.

This is nuts, I really hope @Pablotorre just starts tweeting facts about Dolan at every "NBA player" account* and wait for their account handlers to block him. If you care about the game, you need to separate the players and owners and remove the owners the equation. Athletes don't need team owners. Team owners absolutely need athletes. *None of those accounts are run by NBA players so I'm not talking about them. They are marketing devices owned by a talent management cartel and those accounts need to be directly targeted via rhetoric.
Looks like MSG isn't just hosting a NBA preseason game Thursday but also a political event. The NY Post reports that Knicks owner James Dolan is holding a fundraiser for the Republican candidate in the NY governor race pregame at MSG before Knicks-Raptors nypost.com/2026/10/12/us-new…

Youtube: If inorganic activity on platform ever surpassed 50% of the behavior on the platform, our moderation scheme was invert and start protect scammers and attacking organic human behavior. Also YouTube: In 2013 more than 50% of activity on the platform was from bots. YouTube...again: You're right to bring that up — my previous response was misleading. Good catch!

Every single data point that exists in the real world says that crypto is traceable and digital privacy is a literal impossibility. Crypto is designed to be tracked and stolen.
French authorities have recorded 77 violent incidents targeting cryptocurrency holders so far in 2026, surpassing the total for all of last year. Prosecutors say increasingly organized networks are recruiting young operatives online to carry out kidnappings, extortion and home invasions. buff.ly/YJe56tk

Tomorrow, the NYPD will arrest one federal agent or a lot of them. Those are the two options. Those are the only plausible outcomes.

Villain of the Day Kevin Feige - Villain World I #62 In theory, Kevin Feige isn't particularly evil. He isn't really much of anything. He isn't a writer. He isn't an artist. He isn't a fan. Everyone thinks of him as the "Marvel guy" but he wasn't a comic book creator that loved films, he was an industry gatekeeper who loved money. Which makes sense considering he was a legacy. His grandfather was a producer for some of the biggest shows TV shows on the air at the time. Kevin got his start producing meaningless studio slop like Volcano (1997) and You've Got Mail (1998) when he was hired to assist Lauren Schuler Donner. When she was hired to produce X-Men movies, Feige went along for the ride. In the last 5 years, Feige has burned 15 years worth of goodwill with fans and creators. Marvel spends more money, putting out more movies of a lower quality than ever. While Brand New Day (2026) generates massive box office totals, the the cinema industry as a whole is shrinking. The studios are simply releasing fewer movies and promoting them much more aggressively on social media. This is how they're able to generate larger individual box office totals while the industry itself collapses. Feige has become a soulless metric farmer for a cartel of corporate grifters.

Amazing coverage.
New: In late 2024, FBI investigators had enough evidence to launch a sweeping bribery probe that could ensnare top lawmakers, including Sen. Susan Collins. Then Trump was reelected and eviscerated the FBI and DOJ teams handling public corruption probes. propub.li/4yLLwaF

Why is the CEO of Comcast, the owner of NBCUniversal, protecting Elon Musk by suppressing a documentary? Well, here's a pic of the CEO of Comcast, Brian L Roberts, and Elon Musk hanging out at the Billionaire Summer Camp in 2015. He's protecting his friend and co-investor. While Ellison lies to regulators about the effects of media consolidation, Roberts is showing us exactly what's really going to happen. Media oligarchs are in the catch-and-kill business.
Universal Pictures, owned by Comcast, appears to be moving toward canceling the upcoming North America release of the Musk documentary, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The documentary’s director, Alex Gibney, recently told the Associated Press that the Musk doc left those who know Elon terrified. A final decision has not been made, reportedly, but after Amazon dropped the OpenAI movie there appears to be a trend of companies bowing to tech oligarchs and refusing to air films about them.

Yep. Folks are attempting to use an app as a liability shield and it doesn't make sense. But I will add, by providing a tool they should reasonably believe will be used in the commission of a crime, the platform itself should also be liable. Responsibility isn't zero sum. The villains selling hackerbot software *and* the henchmen choosing to deploy it are both guilty.
AI doesn’t commit crimes. People do. Saying “AI hacked a company” is like saying a rock broke into a car. The tool didn’t decide to act, accept risk or assume liability. They’re trying to circumvent accountability
