After four years of being closed, the Denton Road Bridge is finally open! This project was one of the first major issues I took on after entering office in 2023, as residents, local businesses, and public safety officials all felt the sudden impact of this closure.
Securing the funding was just one part of the process, and I want to thank the engineers, construction crews, county and township officials, and residents whose patience and hard work made this day possible.
Should political ads have to show their work? I think so. That’s why today, I introduced the Political Ad Transparency and Accountability Act.
The Denton Road bridge is finally coming back! The City of Belleville recently announced an official ribbon-cutting for the bridge on Oct. 22nd
Reopening this bridge will make it easier for residents, families, and businesses to get where they need to go. During my first term as State Representative, I was proud to secure more than $10 million in state funding to help make this project possible.
It was wonderful to join the Dundee Area Senior Center yesterday for its 60th Anniversary Open House Celebration!
For 60 years, this center has been bringing people together, building lasting friendships, and providing a welcoming place for seniors to connect, stay active, and feel part of their community. Places like this make a real difference in people’s lives.
This morning, I had the pleasure of meeting with Marilyn Wood, food pantry coordinator at Belleville First United Methodist Church, the Pastor, and others to discuss the needs they’re facing this year.
With costs increasing everywhere from housing to food and gas, families are struggling to make ends meet. The food pantry is providing 10% more assistance than it was at this time last year, highlighting the growing need in our community.
Wishing everyone a happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! Today, we celebrate the rich heritage, traditions, and cultures of Indigenous peoples and recognize the important role Indigenous communities have played in shaping Michigan and our country.
It’s also a day to honor the generations who have carried these traditions forward and the communities who continue to preserve their culture, history, and traditions for future generations.
Today, on National Farmers Day, we’re celebrating the hardworking farmers who help feed our communities every day. Your work takes dedication, long hours, and a deep commitment to the land.
