We were honored to join leaders from across the region this week at The Southeastern Association of Area Agencies on Aging (SE4A) Conference in Williamsburg, Virginia. This morning, Trish D’Antonio and Hannah Albers started by asking the group to fill in the phrase “we are all——“ and explored what it takes to improve understanding of aging. The movement to reframe aging is working, and we all have a role to play in building on that momentum. State Plans on Aging and Multisector Plans for Aging create powerful opportunities to apply research-based communication strategies that help people see aging as a shared experience and build support for policies and practices that benefit us all. Thank you to the SE4A community for being part of the movement to reframe aging.

Executive Director Trish D'Antonio Mazzuca, BSPharm, MS, MBA, BCGP presented today with the Michigan State Bureau of Aging, Community Living, and Supports at their All Star Event for Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) leaders from across the state. This year's theme, "Represent Your Region," celebrated the completion of Michigan's statewide and regional aging planning process and the unique priorities each community will advance in the years ahead. Trish discussed how reframing aging can help organizations use language and messaging that celebrates aging and communicates the strength and value of older adults and those who provide care. We are grateful for the opportunity to support Michigan's efforts to foster more age-inclusive communications across its aging network.
