He wanted to make a face at the thought, but decided to remain unmoved. “I see. I assume she needs it by a certain date?”

“What circumstance would that be? It’s been many months since she last visited, so I’m not privy to whatever goes on up there.”

He could smell the spring on her. It was his favourite time of year and he appreciated the work she put into it. “You should take time to rest… You never did take advantage of my bathing suite.”

It wasn’t often he was asked to make jewellery. “I’m surprised she didn’t come down here to ask herself. Did she say why she needed it?”

He slipped an arm around her shoulders. “Work has kept me far too busy of late. How have you been?”

“A request? What does she wish of me?”
