I’m 15 now, and my old interview popped back up. I wanted to get some facts straight:
the game was generating 2,000,000 robux daily for over a week straight at its peak ($7,500). we sold at a 30 day evaluation.
The game being mentioned, Trust or Trick, peaked at 5,000 active players.
The game had a 25% conversion rate (1/4 players spent money). this is similar to most of my games, averaging out to 18% across 10 games.
game was sold at an eval of $250,000, we sold to 5+ different people.
the game took 14 hours to make and publish, after release we did one update then sold.
TWO 14 YEAR OLDS JUST EXPLAINED HOW ROBLOX IS A CASINO FOR TODDLERS
and they're making $100 000+ a month each doing it
let that sink in
they built a game in 14 HOURS, start to finish, planning, scripting, marketing
> $100 of dad's money on roblox ads
> 2 weeks to hit the algorithm
> sold it for $250,000 cash
the game never even cracked roblox's top 1,000
it's called trust or trick, it's mrbeast's split-or-steal on loop
rng rolls a jackpot number, you gamble in-game currency, your winnings float above your head so everyone sees how "rich" you are
no real money bet, no losing, just status, keep the number climbing, flex on the lobby, chase the leaderboard
that's the whole trap
now the numbers that should scare you:
> average roblox game: 1 in 100 players spend money
> top 10% of games: 7 in 100
> their game: 1 in 4
a 25% conversion rate on a gambling loop
how? progression tunnel, buy a table with a luck boost
save up, buy the better one, the old one is now worthless, throwaway
reset, repeat, crates start at 20 cents, there's a $20 "nuke" they dropped at Christmas specifically to catch kids' holiday money
then they said the quiet part out loud:
> "all of roblox is gambling"
> youngest player they've clocked? their guess, two or three years old
one of them's been coding since 9, watched college CS lectures in 5th grade math class, bought a car he's too young to legally drive
their target this year: $3 million

A lot of developers focus on getting more players instead of building a game people actually want to spend money on.
I asked @ReflexMetal for advice for smaller developers and here’s what he said.
Today I hit 10,000 ccu on a silly Roblox game at just 15 🥹.
This has a lifelong dream of mine, and would not have been possible with my team: @justkxnzo and @Finger_Bottom. I’d also like to shoutout @ReflexMetal for always helping along the way, and I thank god for this win!
It’s my 15th birthday 🎉
In the last year, i’ve made so many friends! i want to take this moment to thank everyone who helped me. this post isn’t going to have any larp or stat flexing- purely just a thank you to everyone who got me here.
since I started coding at 9 years old. Since then I have continued to explore different jobs and hobbies online, I ended up landing at Fortnite creation. After 4 years at UEFN, I made a lot of notable friends and met a ton of successful front page developers at just the age of 12. I wanted a change though, I moved to Roblox. In my first month I made 1m robux, over the next 3 months I made another 15m more. It didn’t slow down. I made over 100m robux in just one year. This has nothing to do with larp or status, just a showing of what you can do at 14.
I want to end this by saying thank you for everyone who helped me, liked my tweets, played my games! I am no longer “The 14 year old roblox developer”, I’m the “15 year old developer”!

Devs are so lazy... the money is on the table; you just need to know how to get it.
