The flame of devine love was experienced by the Old Testamant Prophets, the apostles & most Saints, particularly the doctors of the Church. It is for all people to experience and it is part of our journey from explusion from Eden, back to God.
Context is key, CC looks at the whole bible for topological consistency from OT to NT, then review how it has been interpreted from year 1 of Christianity (pre NT) through the ages to today by the Church as the Pillar of Truth, as shown by historical records and councils.

The truth of Christianity is that through faith in Jesus and baptism, all can receieve the Holy Spirit and be children of God with similar gifts to the Old Testament prophets.
To pray with the heart is to put your life in your prayer & the Holy Spirit repsonds with prayer that makes music in your heart:
eph5:19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord"
As a christian, your inheritance is that of the Prophets of the old testament. Their gifts and life is open to all. The Word of the Lord that come to them was & is Jesus.

Judaism believes in intercessory prayer of the righteous or saints, they call it tzaddikim and Judaism believes in in purgatory or Gehenna, only Protestant Christians reject this.
The way which Christ walked and taught the Apostles is the same which the prophets of the old testament walked and we're taught by the pre-incarnate Christ. This is to walk humbly with God with His law on your heart. This is the way which the Catholic Church teaches.

Jesus is God, was God and always will be God. Jesus appointed Apostles through which he established His church. Peter was the chief apostle and the person who succeeds him is now known as the Pope of Rome.
To love your neighbour, to pray for those who torture you, is to accept and practice the faith like Christ upon the cross. This is a hard concept for many Christians to accept. Even harder or akin to fooishness for non-Christians.

2.) Other churches which have altered doctrines are the churches referenced in 1 Tim 4:1-2 & 2 Timothy 4:3-4. They are made be people who cannot understand hard doctrine and distort truth to their ruin 2 Peter 3:16.
What about Pauls letter to the Romans? What about Linus (2 Timothy 4:21) and Clement (Philippians 4:3) who were Popes after St Peter and are mentioned by name in the bible per quoted references?

The Mass is the perfect offering of Christ, re presented everyday around the world for all. As the Manna in the desert fed the israelites, so the bread of life is the pure & perferct and pure sacrifice given from the rising of the sun to it's setting - Malchai 1:11. John 6.26-65
