When a parent is incarcerated, children may experience a range of emotions, including confusion, fear, sadness and uncertainty. Changes in family routines, living arrangements and relationships can also affect their sense of stability and security.
Open, age-appropriate communication can help children navigate these changes.
Children are an important part of the #reentry conversation, too. As parents prepare to return to the community, understanding children and family needs can support family reunification.

Located in #Bridgeton the Village of Hope provides eligible men with a private tiny home for up to 180 days at no cost, giving residents the stability and space to focus on their next steps. 🏠
Through a partnership between The Kintock Group, Inc., @GatewayCAP and The Reentry Coalition of New Jersey, in addition to safe, temporary housing, individuals also receive support with employment, identification, financial planning and connections to health and social services.
We believe that successful reentry is about more than finding a place to stay. It’s about building a foundation for what comes next.

Parole vs. probation: What’s the difference?
👉Parole occurs after incarceration & continues until the person’s sentence expires.
👉Probation is an alternative to incarceration & continues for the length of the imposed probationary term.
