A great team effort this week maintaining the first team training surfaces
As it’s #NationalApprenticeshipWeek it’s only right to appreciate the high quality of work in which the apprentices @LCFC produce and to also reflect on my time as a sports turf apprentice @NorthamptonGC⛳️

We really value apprentices. They work to a high standard, bring ideas, ask lots of Qs & get involved in all aspects of sports turf, machinery, greenkeeping & hort.
Learning while developing a career is definitely recommended!👌

🌨❄️☃️… great effort from all to get the site accessible and grass pitches/synthetics clear ready for training today. #lcfc #groundsman #team

With a few busy/wet months ahead, it was good to give the first team training pitches a clean out using the @CampeyTurfCare Uni Rake, then followed behind by a rotary and an application of @ICL_Turf ProTurf. Really pleased with how the pitches are looking heading into winter.🦊💙

With it being international break, it has given us the best chance to carry out some routine maintenance before we head into a busy schedule and the winter months. A Verti Cut at 2mm removing organic matter followed by a Pro Core and a cylinder cut to finish off 🦊💙

It’s been a tough week for all, preparing the surfaces for training ahead of this weekends first game of the season against @Wolves. Over 75 miles walked this week 🥵 A great team effort, and hopefully the hard work pays off with 3 points tomorrow 🦊💙 – at Leicester, England
