Ok so today it's the 2yr anniversary of the death of our mum.
My thoughts though are with all thousands families of those going through what we did right now - during COVID19.

It’s the anniversary of this glorious Glenn Hoddle goal at Vicarage Road in 1983.
Thoughts and prayers for that defender. The poor lad was halfway to the dressing room…
Glenn Hoddle v Watford - 24 September 1983
The last of our Glenn Hoddle goals on his birthday is 'that' chip against Watford. Sit back and enjoy!

What a dagger of a strike this was. Look at the limbs at the Lane, take me back

Forty years ago, nobody carried water everywhere. You left the house at 8 AM with absolutely no hydration strategy whatsoever.
Somehow you survived until dinner without a 40-ounce emotional-support tumbler.

35 years ago today:
Great Britain shocked the USA to win 4x400m relay gold at the Tokyo World Championships.
Switching Roger Black to the first leg and Kris Akabusi to the anchor leg proved to be a tactical masterstroke.
One of the finest British track wins in history 🇬🇧🥇

I speak for a lot of men when I say this:
A man can be running on 4 hours of sleep.
He can stay up until 2 AM and still wake up at 6.
He can have more bills than money in his account.
He can be buried in debt.
He can be broke as hell.
He can be carrying problems he hasn't told a single person about.
He can be lonely.
He can feel like nobody notices his effort and nobody is coming to save him.
Yet somehow, he keeps moving.
He goes to work.
He shows up.
He keeps trying.
He keeps building.
Because deep down, most men carry a stubborn belief that things will get better.
Not today.
Maybe not tomorrow.
But eventually.
The business will grow.
The debt will get paid.
The hard work will pay off.
The bad season will pass.
It's not always confidence.
Sometimes it's pure faith.
Faith that if they keep showing up, keep grinding, and refuse to quit, one day everything they've been fighting for will finally work out.
And honestly, that quiet faith is what keeps a lot of men going.

The Club is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of our former player, Terry Dyson at the age of 91.
Terry was a key part of our double-winning side in 1961, scoring in the FA Cup Final. He also scored twice in the 1963 European Cup Winners’ Cup Final. He made 209 appearances in all competitions, scoring 55 goals.
Our deepest condolences are with Terry’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time 🤍

Restore Britain's costed plan for income tax is to raise the personal allowance to £16,000, extend the basic-rate band to £100,000 and restore the full allowance to ALL taxpayers.
Crucially, this will be implemented AFTER necessary cuts are delivered.
Our plan will not only give hardworking British men and women a huge financial boost, it will get inflation under control.
VAT will be brought down to 18%.
Along with abolishing stamp duty and inheritance tax, with vast swathes of stealth taxes being eradicated.
That means more money in a more affordable economy.
In addition, Restore Britain will abolish corporation tax on the first £50,000 of profits for all companies. With profits over £50,000 we propose an immediate restoration of the 19% rate, with an aspiration to reduce this to 15% as soon as fiscal conditions allow.
The economy will boom.
We have proposed exactly how we will fund this.
Cuts to welfare, funding for foreign nationals, quangos, net zero spend, freezing departmental budgets, NHS reform and more.
This is a properly considered policy document.
It's boring, tedious work - but this is exactly what we need to prepare. It's what Britain needs. Not nonsense slogans. An actual plan.
A Restore Britain Government will make life affordable again for hardworking British men and women.

European Athletics Birmingham.
£18+ for a pork roll, £150 for a Cat A ticket. Could have got a £20 ticket for this morning's session but how many can go on a Tuesday in the school holidays 🤷🏽♂️
Weather is amazing and the sport needs as many eyeballs as possible so kids for a quid!! £150/£100/£70 for the 3 categories at the weekend is aimed at who? Not families and kids who may want to be athletes!
No wonder crowds yesterday were poor.
Woeful optics @EuroAthletics!
There was no way you were going to give up 2/3rds of the pitch for 30 minutes of football, defend deep on the penalty spot and hold on. And even if ARG only scored one, wed have another 30 minutes of ET.
The changes were too negative and too early.
7% possession last 25mins is a unforgivable with 11 men.

🏴🤣 John Stones pretends his shoulder is hurt then begins to dance in the England changing room. 🕺
Tuchel was genuinely worried at one point that the injury was real. 😅
If you don't celebrate your own traditions, then you will have to celebrate someone else's traditions.
The Norwegian team celebrates the right way and we all love it.
The Viking way. But also wearing the Cross of Christ with pride.
Huge credit to Tuchel and the changes he made. I didnt think we had a chance of holding out and winning the game in normal time. Not sure where we got minimum 11 minutes of overtime (he played 13!) as well as the 5 in the first half... that is madness.
Thats quite possibly the best England result I have seen in my lifetime.
The 4-1 vs the dutch in Euro 96 and the 5-1 vs Germany in 2001 were both amazing, totally different game this one and more stressful but I have this up there for sure.
Spence has spent a fair bit of time this season injured. If he breaks down we have no cover in either full back area. Although CBs can play full bacl and also in a 3, not taking another right back may prove costly in this tournament.
Can you start with creating a crime resiliant city? We'd find that much more useful.
As we have experienced this week, extreme temperatures are no longer a future threat. They are a present danger.
Today, I’m launching London’s first ever heat plan: a city-wide plan to adapt our capital, protect communities, and build a climate-resilient city.

ALT Silhouette of Big Ben and surrounding London skyline at sunset, with a bright sun glowing behind the clock tower and casting a warm orange glow across the sky. Below, on an orange background, bold black text reads: “Get heat-ready, London.” Smaller text reads: “Heat Ready London will protect Londoners from hotter temperatures and help us build a more resilient city.” The Mayor of London logo appears in the bottom right corner.
