The UK team are at Border Crossings: Charity and Voluntarism in Britain’s mixed economy of health care since 1948, a 2-day conference organised by @DrEllenStu John Mohan, Martin Gorsky and others from Border Crossings, a major project on NHS charity.

Today we're presenting two papers: one by @rfbramall on the coexistence of crowdfunding and taxation as alternative mechanisms for funding collective projects like healthcare - and how to conceptualize that coexistence.
And the other by Jon Paylor (UK @Redigim_Chanse postdoc) on the discursive and material construction of digital voluntarism during the pandemic, and its implications for the UK's mixed economy of welfare.
